How many sessions will I need?
Many people see some significant results after just the one session. For more deep rooted problems up to six sessions may be required.
What happens during a typical hypnotherapy session for anxiety and panic attacks?
We will simply begin with a chat to find out a bit more about your anxiety. The more I understand about what you are going through, the easier it will be to tailor the hypnotherapy to suit your exact needs. We will then work together to explore how to help you gain more control and learn relaxation skills..
Whilst your conscious mind may not understand why you are feeling anxious, it is your subconscious mind which controls your behaviour .The hypnotherapy starts with some simple breathing, relaxation and visualisation techniques which will help you go into an hypnotic trance so that I can access your subconscious mind and reprogramme it to help you control your physical symptoms.
During the hypnotherapy session, you will
- Practice and learn relaxation, beathing and visualisation exercises to help both your mind and body relax whenever you feel your stress levels escalating
- Learn self hypnosis to give you the tools to help yourself in the future
- Replace any negative self talk with more positive suggestions .
Will it work?
Like any therapy, hypnotherapy will work best when you come prepared to change. As you have visited this website, It is likely that you have reached the point where you are fed up with being anxious and are desperate for a solution. The good news is that the more you want hypnotherapy to work and the more confidence you have in it, the more successful it will be!
How much does it cost?
The initial consultation is £60.00 and will take up to 1 1/2 hours. Subsequent consultations are £50.00.

Some top tips to help you control your worrying
- Try 7/11 breathing. Breathe in slowly and steadily to the count of seven. Then breathe out slowly to the count of eleven as if you were gently blowing on a candle to make the flame flicker rather than blowing it out. Continue with this 7/11 beathing until you feel more relaxed and the tension subides.
- Aim to take at least 20 minutes exercise each day. This doesn’t have to involve a trip to the gym or an exercise class. Simply a brisk walk in the fresh air will help clear your mind and gain fresh perspective.
- Banish the phrase 'I should' from your vocabularly and replace with the words 'I choose to'. Notice how this simple shift empowers you to take responsibility for your own actions.
- In stressful situations, imagine building a circle of protection or a shield around you. This will make you infallible and unaffected by the negative energies of those around you.
- Smile! Smile even when you are feeling low. Smiling releases endorphins or our happy hormones. Try smiling at a stranger. It is very difficult not to return a smile and you may just brighten up their day too.
